Legal and privacy
Privacy Notice
This notice describes Kivrum's current public website behavior and should be revised whenever processing practices change.
Optional shared account
You can use your existing Learning account to sign into Kivrum. Email, profile name, photo and preferred language are stored by the Learning account service and shared between the two sites. Tool favorites are saved separately from course favorites. Signing in is optional for public tools; tool inputs and files are not automatically stored in your account.
Essential secure session cookies keep you signed in. A temporary cookie protects the sign-in connection. Password changes and account deletion are available in Learning’s account security center. Signing out ends the connected session on both sites; other device sessions remain active.
Local browser processing
Many Kivrum tools process text, files, and settings directly in the browser. Tools identified as local do not transmit their inputs to Kivrum or an external API. Temporary preview URLs are released by the relevant tool when replaced or closed.
Provider-backed processing
The AI Background Remover discloses before upload that it sends the selected image through Kivrum’s server to the configured background-removal provider. Kivrum does not persist the image to disk or a database. Provider handling is governed by that provider’s own privacy terms. Any additional server-backed tool should disclose its behavior before processing begins.
Cookies, local storage, and hosting
Essential cookies support sign-in and language preferences. Google Privacy & messaging stores advertising privacy choices using cookies or similar browser storage. Hosting infrastructure may process technical request information needed to deliver and secure the site, including IP addresses, paths, and browser headers.
Google AdSense and advertising
Kivrum integrates Google AdSense to support its free content. Ad availability depends on Google's site approval and our ad configuration. Third-party vendors, including Google and its advertising partners, may place or read cookies, use web beacons, and process IP addresses or other identifiers to deliver, measure, and protect advertising. Where permitted by your privacy choices, advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads based on visits to this site and other websites.
Google's published privacy messages provide consent choices in applicable European regions and opt-out choices in supported US states. You can revisit the Privacy and cookie settings control when it is available, or use Google's Do Not Sell or Share link where applicable. The former local Accept/Decline preference does not grant advertising consent. Kivrum does not currently integrate a separate analytics provider.
